Okay - new here, old on the block ...lol so that said I may be a bit technically challenged ! ha! ha!

So, I can make ringtones and get them to trans to iphone4 no prob.

But some of the songs I have, do have different "29 seconds" of ringtone material at various point in the song.
I may record the first 29 seconds and may want to record a section as a ringtone that is at the 1:00 - 1:29 mark in the song.

I go through the norm process for creating the ringtone for the 1:00-1:29 section; and what I've been doing is at the "rename" point where you change to an .m4r extension... I've either changed a character in the songs title or totally renamed it but still with the .m4r extension.

But when it is placed in the ringtone folder in iTunes library... it's only the true title of the song that is named and listed and if I click to play it, the new ringtone plays; but when syncing to phone... it does not trans... only the original ringtone with actual name of the song is on my phone.

And yes on my phone the initial 29 secton ringtone with actual name of the song is listed as the ringtone title.


Does that make sense to anyone ?

Is there anyone out there making different ringtones of the same song at different time sections ?  If so, how are you doing it ?
