I would advice you to go over to www.myiphone4s.org.

To answer your question, try going into the Settings, Messages then into Caller ID And check if it is set to the E-mail or phone number.

Goto [Settings] > [Phone], at the top of the list, there's [My Number]. What do you have there?

Hmmmmm.....you can't select it? Tap on it, nothing happen?

Can you connect it to your PC and and try to edit it to your phone number on the Info page in iTunes?

Yea i,ll try that later this week. It just hit me that i installed
apple tv last week and had to activate with my email adress under
internet/wireless settings  on the tv/appeltv screen ?
Could that have any thing to do with me
using the iphone as remote to my tv ?

I don't have Apple TV, but it could be that reason.

By changing the information on your iPhone might break the connection between them, so you might like to check whether there're any setting on your Apple TV to edit that field.
