I bought an iPhone 4 and an otterbox defender case to keep it safe b/c I had heard that the screens broke easily.  I was looking at an amoled screen b/c of the fact it won't shatter.  But, I heard really good things about the iPhone 4; the sales person assured me that the otterbox would keep it safe.   So, I fell on some ice yesterday (we had an ice storm this week) and when I fell the otterbox was on my hip (as designed) and the phone was facing with the screen inwards so as to keep it most safe.  I fell on my back not my hip and when I got up the whole screen was shattered.  Now, I've only had the phone for 3 months, but Otterbox, Apple, and At&t won't do anything for me.  I don't feel this phone is designed for everyday use and the case does nothing to protect it from anything more than scratches.

Just beware before you buy a $600 phone that if anything happens no one will help you.

Damn $600 for your iPhone? Lol anyways dunno how hard you hit but I have my iphone4 in an otterbox defender only because of the notorious screen breaking since iPhones came out, I had mine drop a couple of times where I knew for sure I was f****d but I must say otterbox held up to it's claim. Keep fighting Botha make them replace it!

My whole family has otterbox and we've never had a problem. My cousin, who is a complete idiot when it comes to taking care of his phones has even managed to keep his in one piece.

hey, friend, if you need to protect your iphone screen from scratching, I think, the best way is to stick a protection film ( which called screen protector). It is a clear transparent PET film that can stick on the screen of the phone.
And also, you will need protection case to guard your iphone 4.

If you are interested in these things, please contact me at  jeddy09@gmail.com. I am doing things on that.
