Apple has released a new version of iOS, its mobile operating system, earlier today. iOS 4.3.2 brings mostly bug fixes and performance enhancements, as its minor revision number implies. The update is now available for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS (GSM only), iPad, iPad 2, and iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation) via Apple’s iTunes software.

iOS 4.3.2 fixes an issue that could occasionally cause blank or frozen video during a FaceTime call, as well as an issue that prevented some international users from connecting to 3G networks on 3G iPads – according to the official changelog. The latest security updates are also included.

Apple has also made iOS 4.2.7 for Verizon’s iPhone available today. This contains all the latest security updates. It’s rather bizarre how Verizon’s iPhone is still running an entirely different version of iOS than all of Apple’s other mobile devices. Is CDMA really that hard to do/write software for?

Anyway, if you have a jailbroken iDevice of any sort, it’s as usual best to hold off on updating until you get the go-ahead from your favorite jailbreaking team. Otherwise, your jailbreak may be gone after the update is applied
